I LOVE being a mom!!!
I have dreamed of being a mommy since I was about five or six years old.
Getting married, having babies, and then staying home and raising them, has been my biggest life goal.
I am living my dream right now!
And I am so honored and in awe that God would trust me with so great a treasure as my amazing six children.
Did I always want or know that I wanted a lot of children?
Yes!
I grew up in a large family…seven children, and I was the second oldest.
It was SO MUCH FUN.
Someone was always doing something, and there was usually always someone to play with, or talk with, or do something with.
I could also get away and be alone as I desired, and there was a beautiful ebb and flow of it all.
The cooking was awesome! I got so used to making food for large groups of people that when I lived in my own and was first married, I wasn’t sure how to cook for just one or two people.
I have enjoyed the journey from my five-year-old self to where I am now, and it is so fun to look back and see how God was weaving all of my experiences and hopes and dreams together into a great, big, beautiful painting that is my life.

I want to be a mother, always.
And, truth be told, I can.
There will always be someone who needs mothering, whether it’s children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, the neighbors, someone God highlights, etc.
I love motherhood and I think it’s the best and most fulfilling thing I could ever do.
Now, in the midst of all of this, I am also MORE than a mother, I am ME.
So that means I write music, blog, podcast, make videos, bake, create jewelry, get together with friends, go on dates with my husband, etc. It’s a very full and happy life, and I love it.
Are there challenging times and situations where everything isn’t all rosy? Of course!
But with Jesus by my side, I can overcome all situations and be victorious through His might and power and that makes the entire picture, the good and the bad, worth every minute.
I cannot recommend motherhood enough…motherhood the way God intended, which is victorious, life-giving, and not a burden.
If we try and do motherhood in our own power and strength, and it can become a heavy weight that will quickly press us down and overwhelm us.
That IS NOT the way God created motherhood to be!
Do it with Jesus. His yoke is easy, His burden is light.
Let Him carry it all and follow His leading. It’ll be the best life experience and life investment you’ll ever make.
Cheers, mama!
You’ve GOT this.
