Seasons

Spring.

Summer.

Fall.

Winter.

Single. Married. Children. Grandparents…

Life is full is seasons. They come and go with a Holy ebb and flow that is just beautiful.

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.”

- Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 NLT

Some seasons are more our favorite than others, and some we wish we wouldn’t have to go through.

But here’s the thing…

Jesus is in it all, making it GOOD and BEAUTIFUL, breathing new life into dead things, and redeeming and restoring to more than before.

Jesus is GOOD!

Some seasons are filled with planting seeds or tilling up hard soil (having babies and raising young children). Others are filled with weeding and watering (raising older children) and still others are filled with harvest time (young adult/adult children), or lots of rest.

Each season is good and needed. The rhythms that come with each of them are essential to a balanced life.

There are times to work very hard, times to maintain the hard work, times to harvest what your hard work produces, and times to simply rest and be.

All of this is so good and so beautiful!

“As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”” - Genesis 8:22 NLT

If you find yourself in-between seasons or transitioning from one to the next, do it with Jesus.

Ask Him what He wants you take with you to the next season, and what He wants you to leave behind.

Process all of this with Him, and you will move forward more whole and healed than you ever have been.

Every step with Jesus is up and forward and GOOD. Our futures are eternally bright with Him in charge! We can trust Him completely.

“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” - Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT

Let it go, mama.

Let the seasons flow, and enjoy their rhythms of work, harvest, and rest…welcoming new life, developing and growing, maturing, and letting go.

Embrace whatever season you are currently in, and thank Jesus for the one you just left.

It is all being made good because He LOVES you.

It’s going to be wonderful, mama!

You’ve GOT this.

Xoxoxo
