We need it.
We may lack it in one area or another.
And God has it all.
The best part of this is He freely and generously gives it to us without faulting or blaming or condemning us!
“If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.” - James 1:5 AMP
Motherhood REQUIRES heavenly wisdom. It’s not a “maybe” or a nicety, it’s essential.
There are two types of wisdom: Earthly Wisdom and Heavenly Wisdom.
One of these is filled with everything good and pure and upright, and the other is filled with every evil thing.
“But if in your heart you are jealous, bitter, and selfish, don't sin against the truth by boasting of your wisdom.
Such wisdom does not come down from heaven; it belongs to the world, it is unspiritual and demonic. Where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is also disorder and every kind of evil.
But the wisdom from above is pure first of all; it is also peaceful, gentle, and friendly; it is full of compassion and produces a harvest of good deeds; it is free from prejudice and hypocrisy.
And goodness is the harvest that is produced from the seeds the peacemakers plant in peace.” - James 3:14-18 GNT
You don’t need another book on how to be a better parent, you need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to be filled with His Holy Spirit, the Source of all truth and wisdom.
We all wish there was a manual for our children, right? An easy way to follow and figure out our motherhood journey without having to do it all ourselves?
Well, there is a manual with EVERY answer we could ever want!
And it’s actually a being, called Holy Spirit.
He is part of the Triune God (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit) and He is deposited inside of our hearts when we accept Jesus and His free gift of salvation.
Once we do that, Holy Spirit is right there with us, forever, helping us, guiding us, comforting us, and protecting us.
We literally have everything we need in God/Jesus/Holy Spirit!
If we go to Him with our questions, our concerns, if we put Him FIRST in everything, we will find peace and success and abundance.
““So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” - Matthew 6:31-34 NLT
So, when you find yourself worrying or feeling anxious about something, immediately ask God about it. Get what He says and you will find peace.
And, His answers are always right. You can trust Him because of His GREAT love for you!!!
There will be always be times and situations when we feel like we’ve totally got it or are absolutely lost.
Run to Jesus. Ask Holy Spirit. Invite God to be King over your mothering and you will prosper in every way.
That is who He is and that is His heart for you.
Choose His wisdom.
