Mama, I See You

Back there in the corner of your kitchen, curled up on your couch, huddled under the covers on your bed, sitting on the floor of your bathroom…

Crying.

Laughing.

Angry.

Frustrated.

Fed up.

Elated.

Exhausted.

Celebrating.

Resting.

Remembering.

Being…YOU.

Who you are is okay. Even more than that, who you are is on purpose, created for a purpose, with a special and NEEDED plan, destiny, and calling.

You are lovely, strong, and anointed.

You are smart, wise, and loving.

You are a daughter of the Most High God, surrounded by His favor like a shield. (Psalm 5:12)

Lovely and strong mama, you are SEEN.

Every moment. The good, the bad, and the ugly. None of it goes unnoticed by your loving Daddy God. Even the moments you may think are trivial or thoughts and dreams that seem too small or pointless. Or entirely too big to focus on at all. He sees all of it.

He sees YOU.

He is El Roi…The God Who Sees You.

AND loves you! ALL of you.

He saw you when you were desperately trying to get some sleep and your colicky baby kept you up every night for months.

He saw you when you tried your best to make your child’s birthday loving and memorable, but you burned the cupcakes and forgot his favorite teddy bear.

He saw you when you looked at your pantry and fought a panic attack when you saw how little you had to work with to make your next meal.

He saw you as you welcomed your longed for child into the world.

He saw you when you sobbed and threw away yet another negative pregnancy test.

He saw you when you found out you were pregnant and had no idea what to do or where to turn.

He saw you when all your hopes and dreams came crashing down when you found out that your spouse was abusive and scary.

He saw you when you pushed on past your exhaustion and made a little more Christmas magic for your children.

He saw you at the end of the day, spent and totally tapped out.

He saw you when you ran around your house with your children, squealing and laughing together.

He saw you when you went on your first family camping trip and found out you actually LOVED camping.

He saw you trying your best and failing, but doggedly getting back up and trying again because you care.

He. Cares. About. YOU.

Yes, you!

Many times, we as moms put ourselves last and forget that we are seen, cared for, loved, and important, too.

I pray that this is a sweet reminder that God doesn’t put you last…you’re His most favorite daughter EVER and He is SO STINKING PROUD of the job that you are doing!

He loves you SO much!

Go on, mama, you’ve got this!

You are never alone.

Xoxoxo
